about

The Dead Sea Scrolls have been called the most important archeological find of the Twentieth Century. This ancient library found by a simple shepherd in 1947 includes the oldest copy of the Old Testament.

The story of the men who left these scrolls behind has taken 50 years of scholarship to unravel. Known as the Sons of Light, they lived in an isolated world waiting for an apocalyptic battles that would restore the righteous to Israel.

The Discovery Channel, KBYU and Scandinature Films bring this story to life as scientists from around the world unlock the secrets of the Sons of Light that have lay hidden in the desert for 2,000 years.
